I've always been a huge baseball fan. As a 90's kid, I grew up watching the Atlanta Braves on TBS. I became a huge fan of players like Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, John Smoltz, Chipper Jones, Andruw Jones, and many more.
As the years passed and streaming games became the norm, I moved to MLB.tv and have been a diehard fan every season. Before meeting me, my wife was a baseball fan as well, and has since fully adopted the Braves. Naturally, we've passed the love on to our 2 kids.
Pre-COVID, we would make an annual trip to Turner Field or Truist Park (formerly SunTrust). While we haven't been able to go since then, we have been able to see the Braves in Arlington (Texas Rangers) as well as catch a few Astros games.
Both of our kids have become big fans of the sport in general over the years, but being able to follow the Braves to a World Series championship in 2021 was the icing on the cake.
Beyond MLB games, we've also been to college and minor league games. They offer a completely unique experience for a much lower price. My alma mater (Go Cajuns!) is close and offers a fun time.
Hopefully we can return to Atlanta next season, but for now we're happy catching what we can when we can. Whether it's the Braves, Astros, Rangers, Cajuns, or the local semi-pro team, we're baseball fans!
