TBGDigital has been monitoring the costs of advertising on social network Facebook and has published a report this week that indicates the average cost-per-click for users of the site is increasing.

The study indicates that although click-through rates are on the rise (they increased by 18% between the first and fourth quarters of 2011), the average cost-per-click is up by 10% in the United States. Interestingly for many UK-based businesses, the report found that the average CPC actually decreased by 11% in this region.
